Pentel Fude Touch Brush Pen Review

The Pentel Fude Touch Brush Pen is one of the first brush pens I ever owned. I bought mine from Amazon in the original rainbow set, and even after trying a lot of other pens since then, I still come back to these pretty often.

This is a small, lightweight pen that’s very easy to control. The ink is water-based and the flow is surprisingly consistent, which makes it great for practice. When they’re brand new, the tip feels fairly firm, but over time it softens and becomes more flexible. Even then, the pens hold up well and last longer than I expected, especially considering how much I’ve used them.

Overall, I would give the Pentel Fude Touch five stars. I love how easy they are to control, especially for beginners or anyone who prefers smaller lettering. They are very versatile, and I often use them for note headers, practice sheets, and cleaner styles where I do not want dramatic strokes. The color range is also a big plus and makes lettering more fun.

The main downsides are that they do not have a lot of flex, so you will not get very bold downstrokes, and they are not ideal for blending or watercolor effects. The tip is not replaceable, so once it wears out, the whole pen needs to be replaced. That said, for everyday use and control, these are a solid staple in my collection!
